Dear computer.

Dear computer,

What's wrong with you?! Are you feeling okay? Is there something bugging you? Why won't you let me open my pictures. Each time I open them you say that I "can't open this picture because I don't have permission to access the file location."

And you won't let me open some of my other programs as well like Photoshop and AutoCAD. I need these programs! They are very important to me! Seriously!

OMFL.

If something is wrong, something MUST be done. We can't go on like this. I've tried restoring you but you wouldn't respond. I need to seek help on your behalf.

Sincerely,
Tech UN-savvy

Guys, suggestions to fix my problems are deeply appreciated.

The Hills

As I mentioned in my previous post, I headed up to Cameron Highlands as crazy week was coming to an end. The trip was in conjunction with our next Studio assignment. So, it wasn't completely a holiday. Tiring as it was, I managed to enjoy myself up there. The slightly cool weather and fresh air took my mind off the hectic life that is KL.

Here are some shots, enjoy:

- At the tea plantation, our site for the next project.

- Conducting our site analysis.

- Beautiful skies and lush contours of the landscape...can I say more?

- Jon, Jo, Me, Kairi.

- Our little Chocolate fondue with Strawberries party.

- Among the tea bushes.

- Group discussion at night (Our trip wasn't all fun and games, mind you).

- Me, Sophia at the BOH tea plantation visitor center.

It was a great experience, except for the chilly baths I had to take in the mornings.

PS: It's interesting that I got sun-burnt there. Maybe it was because I was closer to the sun? Or maybe the lower temperature makes me forget about the effects of the sun.

PPS: Yodeling in the hills: A great way to De-stress.

Stay tuned for more.

Last Week

I had one of those crazy weeks last week. I've been kept busy with my first studio assignment among other work and it has left me with very little time. I missed meals, had almost sleepless nights and my room was a mess. But I managed to pull through with the help of my friends/group mates who were so brilliant. (Thanks Farah for letting us use Home Base again). I'm so glad we worked together as a team and got to learn from each other.

- The completed model.

We wrapped up that assignment on Thursday with a short informal presentation to our lecturer. It's really an experience to work for hours and hours over so many days and it all boils down to a 10 minute crit session.

- After our crit session.

After all of that, I rushed off to meet Mei Zhi and Sandra who dropped by KL before they return to Australia.

- At Pavilion.

My past week has been absolutely hectic. I haven't done my laundry, I haven't done any grocery shopping and I haven't even got the time to look in the mirror before I walk out the door.

In addition, on Friday, the day after my crit, I headed up to Cameron Highlands for the field trip which would inevitably mark the start of the second assignment of my studio.

Stay tuned for pictures from Cameron Highlands.

Eye See

-Look

How do you know when you've got...'the eye'. That Eye which reads the language of design. The eye which sheds tears of creativity. Skills, taste, style and having a great eye for things are not things which come naturally to me and I'm not sure whether it can be acquired. And that's why I'm in this limbo. I need something to strengthen my hopes and force me to look past the haze.

I've come to question my abilities. I'm not sure if I've got what it takes to do what I'm doing. I'm not certain if I've got the flare that one should have to succeed in design. It's something which is just so subjective and baseless.

Stay tuned...

Spontaneous Weekend: Malacca

I've been busy. Caught up with work. In fact, I'm working on something right now.

Last weekend, we headed down south for a day trip to Malacca. It was just a quick getaway to de-stress and hang out. Here are some pictures from the colour accented collection:

- Red

- Iron

- Maroon

- Yellow

- Blue

It's going to get extra tough in the coming weeks. God save us all.

Stay tuned for more.

Three Days Ago.

Our little group 'reunion'. We chatted, caught up with each other, ate, movie-d and hung out. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling very well that day and had to leave early. But it was still a great time.

Now, I'm wondering whether I should photoshop in Khang May, Karen, Lee Xin, Loo Hoang and Kai Xin?

Stay tuned for more.

Subjected

My holidays are now over, I'm back in PJ and for the next 3 months, I will be subjected to a torturous routine of work, eat, work, sleep, work and more work. I can't believe we've not a single week of holiday in the upcoming months right up until the semester finishes. It's like the perfect opportunity to lose a little bit of my sanity.

With all these new subjects including 3D computer modeling, designing, services and a dollop of physics and calculations, I am utterly petrified of going through this semester.

On the bright side, I got a fortune cookie which told me "You need not worry about your future."

Let's just hope that fortune is accurate.

Stay tuned for more.
