This song from Danish band The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is a bit old, but if you haven't heard it, it's worth a listen I gotta say. It's got a slightly extraterrestrial 70s psychedelic pop thing going on which locks in perfectly well with the lead vocals' unique raw voice. Perfect for day dreaming in the summer.

Picnic

We went to the Southfield Park last week for a little picnic. Interestingly enough, I didn't manage to take any pictures at all, save for the ones posted here which were taken as we were leaving the park and are obviously posed for the sake of it. I guess I was too absorbed in the food.

And furthermore, there were chilly winds which frequently swept through the park. We spent most of the day lying on the grass, gazing up at the sky and clouds, taking in the views of Oxford and not forgetting to mention the insane game of ultimate Frisbee we played; which was about the time when most of us realized how unfit we are after months of inactivity. The next day was pretty much met with sore legs and backs, but it's worth it.

It's Monday and i'm truly feeling the Monday blues. Well, partly because I'm room-ridden since I'm a little under the weather today and making trips to the bathroom. But worry not as I'm self-medicating. The only thing one should worry for me is for my work as I've still go a tonne of things to do. This panic attack I'm having right now would seem like a nice mild headache compared to the insane emotional turmoil I'm about to have in less than a week.

Just a couple images from my recent trip to the city through the eyes of a supersampler, as I wondered around from street to street, tube station to tube station. It's at the end of this trip when I realized that I need to do this more often.

Spot On: Dries Van Noten Spring|Summer 2011

The spring/summer collection of Dries van Noten sees a careful play of haphazard Rorschach-test-inspired ink blotches on pristine white shirts which rendered unique pieces, each different from the other. And on top of that, a parade of acid washed denim jackets and jeans and working class garb which hung very nicely on skinheads, harking images of an English punk rock era. This would definitely be a fun DIY project.
